Is Remote TCP and Toolpath supported by Polyscope X

I’m wondering whether Remote TCP and Toolpath is supported by Polyscope X. This is written in the Polyscope X Script Directory manual

19.1. This module contains Remote TCP and toolpath APIs.

NOTE:

  1. These script functions are only accessible if the program is being run from within Polyscope.
  2. The Remote TCP & Toolpath URCap Controller must run in order for the script functions to work. Go to Installation > URCaps > Remote TCP & Toolpath URCap to start the controller from the URCap home page.

Where did you find that Polyscope X Script Directory manual? I was not able to find your entry in my documents.

The behavior Polyscope 5 and X are meant to be identical. However not all functions are there yet as you would expect. My course of action would be to just try it and report bugs if the behavior is not according to my understanding.

The only thing about Remote in the supplied Script Directory by UR on Version 10.10 and 10.11 I could find is about Modbus and Remote Procedure calling.

I assume you want to compute your trajectory in an different controller or on a server, which sit possible.

I have not come across the Remote TCP URCap for Polyscope X, so I don’t think it’s implemented (yet). :slight_smile:

URCaps for Polyscope 5 do not work in Polyscope X, no.
