What is PolyScope?

PolyScope is the GUI software of a Universal Robots. The software is developed and designed by Universal Robots. Using PolyScope, it is possible to program the robot in an intuitive user interface. By using a URCaps plugin, you have the possibility to extend this functionality, by adding your custom installation screens and program nodes. URCaps plugins are available from PolyScope version 3.3.0.145.

Is it possible to run URScript without PolyScope started in the UR Control Box ?

I mean, is PolyScope “just” a GUI / HMI to configure/to start UR robot program ?

You can load and start a stored program with the dashboard interface, or directly send urscript in others interfaces.
You can disconnect the teach-pendant, so you won’t see polyscope, but it will (IMHO), always have to run in background.
(Nice thing to notice is you can still access it by using a VNC)
