UR5e simulator: signals simulations (IO, force sensor...)

Hi!

I would like to drive the HW interface of the simulator to test my software. Is it possible to simulate signals in the UR5e simulator?
For example, can I “drive” an IO input to verify my software design by simulation?
Can I send force sensor value to simulate a force on the robot tool and check my software implementation with the simulator?
