Safeguard Stop and Primary Interface UR Script

Hi All, currently I have an application where robot movement is controlled by PC where PC will send UR Script consisting of the movement using Primary Interface (port 30001).

Now the UR Robot safeguard input is connected to curtain sensor without the safeguard reset input (auto resume configuration). Let say I want to cancel this paused program, can I still send an empty URScript to the robot while it is in safeguard mode, so that when the curtain sensor is cleared, the robot just stop there?

I dont have the actual robot with me yet, and UR Sim does not seems to have any Safeguard Stop/Safety Stop for me to try.
