How do I get the slider speed so I can go back to whatever the original slider speed was?

I’m not sure that’s possible. I don’t recall seeing this feature anywhere.

I have used a Siemens PLC with an HMI before, which sets the speedslider through ProfiNet.
This way you can also set the speed slider to your own value when you need it through the PLC and revert it to its previous value afterwards. And the operator can set the speed on the HMI. It’s a bit more work to do, though, but it gives you more control of the speed.
