DVI - No signal & Scanning Ports - No signal Error

Hello,

I am writing to request your assistance with a problem I am having with my UR5 CB3 robot.
The robot is not starting up and displays “DVI No signal” and “Scanning Ports No signal” on the screen.

Thank you in advance for your help and advice to solve this problem.

This can be a sign of a flat CMOS battery or a defective motherboard. Either way, I would advise you to contact your local distributor and have them assist you.
It is possible to replace the battery and access the BIOS and set it up again, but you’d have to have some knowledge regarding this.

Thank you for the helpful advice.

Hi,

We have the same issue on an UR5 CB2. We have replaced the CMOS battery and still got the same errors. Is there a way to get a replacement motherboard? This is for a MakerSpace (not production) or is the UR5 arm just trash now?

You also have to set up the BIOS after replacing the battery.

Also, the CB2 is no longer supported, but fortunately the motherboard is the same as the CB3. So if you buy a replacement motherboard, you can burn a CB2 image to it and then it’ll work again.

You can write me a PM if you’re situated in Denmark and want a new motherboard.
