UR10e Modbus communication with Turck BL20-GW-EN-IP

I was just assigned to my first Universal Robot project. I am wanting to get the UR to communicate with a Turck BL20-GW-EN-IP over Modbus. We are basically using the BL20 as external / additional IO for the UR.

Robot IP is set to 192.168.1.100 mask 255.255.255.0

Turck IP set to: 192.168.1.101 mask 255.255.255.0

I have both units connected to a switch. I can ping both the robot and the BL20. The problem i have is when I add a Modbus Unit with the IP of the BL20 (192.168.1.101), the connection status says “no route to server” .

Does the UR need additional setup to get this to work?

Has anyone here used a BL20 with a UR?
