Hello,
I am setting up the profane communication for my UR robot against an s7 1200. Since then I have tried to also add to my welding machine in the communication. So after a lot of experimenting, this has appeared when I look at the UR robot’s int register. I do not know what it is or why it is so since then the values change all the time. even when a program is not running.
I have tried and run a program to see if I get any changes in the registry but nothing changes.
it should look like that with the values?
Best regard Martin
Hi Martin,
I have not experience with the Profinet interface. Have you read the article:
https://www.universal-robots.com/articles/ur/profinet-guide/
And the attached documents?
What do you want to read/control via the profinet interface?
Best Ebbe
Did you ever figure out why this was happening? I am having similar issues with Ethernet/IP to my Allen Bradley PLC.
Hi,
Not sure what bit/byte address within the fieldbus register table %ID168, etc is mapped to but I suppose it might be some joint data. You will typically see all sorts of data from the robot chaning even if it’s not running a program (example - joint motor current or temperature).
Have you looked at the UR ProfiNet guide :
https://www.universal-robots.com/articles/ur/interface-communication/profinet-guide/
and the document at the bottom titled pn-iomessage.pdf … this might help.
