Teach Pendent Cable Fuse

Hey everyone,

We’ve integrated a lot of these robots over the years, and have had SEVERAL customers call back having cut their teach pendent cable. They dropped a piece of sheet metal on it, or else somehow cut it on some tooling or whatever. In almost every case, the cutting of this cable results in a blown safety control board or a blown power supply, or both. So the customer cuts a $100 cable and then gets strapped with a $5k bill to replace the parts. This is 100% unacceptable. Has anyone found a way to add aftermarket fuses or other protection to prevent this?
