The freedrive switch on our teach pendant for our UR5e (software Version 5.4.2.76197, July 10 2019, urcap version 1.0.4) has not been working for the last few months. There has not been any software events which led up to this and it suddenly stopped working one day!
There is absolutely no damage on the pendant and the switch was never physically damaged. Other than that, there has not been any software changes that accessed the freedrive button. However, the robot can be switched to free drive mode by holding the freedrive button at the bottom of the move screen on the pendant.
What can be the cause for this and how can this be addressed.
