Steps to reproduce:
I have a UR-5 with Software 5.17.3 and build date of aug 2024. I have Start Program, Stop Program and pause program bits setup. I know the bits are functional and mapped correctly. I have Remote Control enabled in the System Settings. I have the correct Variables setup in my Startup menu. I put the system in remote run. I restart the robot. The machine powers up. I initialize the robot. I go to my hmi and hit the start and stop button that is tied to to the start/stop buttons in the robot. Nothing happens. I have another robot setup in the exact same way (to the very best of my knowledge) and it does start and stop from remote buttons.
Expected Behavior:
When I stop the robot from my remote panel button (that is tied to the stop bit in the robot) I expect the program to stop.
When I start the robot from my remote panel button (that is tied to the start bit in the robot) I expect the program to start.
Actual Behavior:
Nothing happens or intermittent working…can’t make heads or tails of this.
Workaround Suggestion:
If anyone knows of workarounds or exact foolproof method of making this work properly, I am all ears. Thank you.
