Lift100 motor drive error

Hello everyone i am facing an error that i couldnt solve with OnRobot lift100 that we got 2 weeks ago the operation count is around 1300 times.

System Configuration:

  • Device: OnRobot Lift100
  • Compute Box IP: 192.168.1.1
  • Firmware: Latest version
  • Connected via: Web interface and robot program (URCap integration)

Problem Summary:

  • During operation, the Lift100 occasionally reports a motor driver error with the message:
“Lift100 motor driver error. Please check the device. Program halted.”
  • Occasionally, I also receive Error Code 8:
“The Lift100 is at an unknown height due to a power cycle or external factor.” In WebClient
  • The device sometimes works perfectly (even moves between 0 mm and 800 mm several times), but then suddenly stops working, typically during execution of the robot program, but occasionally also during initialization.

Troubleshooting Steps Performed:

  1. Power-cycled both the Lift100 and the Compute Box multiple times with proper delay.
  2. Firmware updated for both Lift100 and Compute Box to the latest version.
  3. Verified that the lift is not under load, and the issue still occurs with no vibration or weight.
  4. Tested both with and without running the robot program — the error can occur in both cases.
  5. Used get_lift_busy() == 0 in the robot program to ensure no command is sent while the lift is moving.

###Now i am getting the error before even moving the lift, and it seems that the lift is not getting its actual position

OnRobot is not associated with Universal Robots. And this is a forum for users and not UR technicians.

You should contact your distributor of your OnRobot product, which should be able to report the issue to OnRobot. They will provide you with the assistance you need.

I appreciate your response.

I am just wondering if anyone had the same error and CAN HELP. :+1:
