I don’t want it to open the existing program we have after powering on the cobot anymore. The check box is unchecked as if there is no default program to open. I’m not sure how to go about this.
Yeah this one is always a little tricky. The robot actually boots with “default.installation” and the setting to open a program by default lives inside THAT file. Well if the program it opens is saved with a different installation, the robot will also automatically open that installation file, where that option might not be checked. So you need to hit Open Installation, choose “default” and then uncheck the setting and save.
The default I used was in Installation > Startup > Load default program:. Is that the “default” you’re referring to? I don’t see any other “default” option. I have SW 5.17… So for me it appears unchecked with no program chosen (as seen in jpeg file). I checked it, unchecked, saved, powered off, powered on, and it opens the program once again.
Right. But your “sink” program ALSO has an installation file associated with it, called “Sink.” In the “Sink” installation (the one you always see because that program gets auto opened) the setting for loading a default program is turned off. Sounds good.
The part you don’t get to see is that when the robot actually boots, it boots with “default.installation.” You should be able to see this by hitting Open along the top ribbon, choosing Installation, and then select the file that says “default.” Once you open that file, check what the auto-load program setting looks like
I think I got it now. I had to open different program with an installation called “default”. It let me uncheck “Sink Options 3” as default startup. It now starts up with a new program. Thank you,
