How can I connect the URSimulator in ubuntu to ethernet

I’m trying to run the URsimulator on Ubuntu 16. The simulators runs ok, however the ethernet connection in my Ubuntu is not showing any ethernet adaptor and the simulator does not accept any Ip in manual or neigther automatic.
I thought about 2 solutions:

  1. I was thinking about creating an kind of virtual adaptor, I still don’t know how to do it.
  2. Use the virtual machine and use it’s virtual adaptor.

Does any body has any suggestions or hints?

Please check the below.

  1. Is your host OS windows?
  2. Is your host connecting to ethernet?

I use Ursim on ubuntu 16.04.6 and LXDE, but I have no problem for connections.
