we need to be able to configure a setting which allows a user to use an external digital in to start the robot program in automatic mode. unfortunately, the (local) automatic mode restricts this setting which means that the local automatic mode is useless at all. It is also confusing for users that are used to ABB or Kuka Robots having to use the remote mode for the ability to use the digital ins.
So, a Remote Automatic Mode would be nice
There is one, you have to enable it in the settings under System->Remote Control.
It will disable stuff line free drive and the move screen though.
i know there is a Remote Mode but the naming is confusing. it should be named local-automatic or remote-automatic to be sure that the desired safety settings are realized.
