Hi. I am trying to communicate using FTP using a wireless connection. I was able to do it wired but now I was wondering how could I do the connection wirelessly. Perhaps a USB wifi dongle or a small traveler modem with an ethernet port will do the job? I do not know what kind of device will be compatible with the teach pendant and my UR5e.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but what we usually do is to use a wifi-capable router.
The Robot is connected to the router with the normal ethernet cable.
The router creates a wifi network and I can connect from my laptop.
This is of course not the same as connecting the robot itself to a wireless network with a wifi dongle or similar.
I guess you want to add the robot to an existing network that you don’t control yourself?
As the robot runs on a linux system i am almost certain it is possible to connect a wifi dongl, but don’t know how specifically.
