Wanting to add light curtain to safe guard with or without reset button. I wired in without button and get safeguard alarm but it will not reset. Do I have to configure anything from the pendent? Do I have to use reset button? If so how do I assign the cI0/1 IO for reset?
Can all this be done from pendent?
Are CI0 and CI1 default safeguard reset?
CI0 and CI1 default to safeguard reset. If you want to change these, you would go to Installation → Saftey → I/O to modify these. You will also need to set up a safety password if one has not already been created.
If you want it to automatically reset, you would just need to remove the Safeguard reset so that when the state has returned to normal, it will automatically reset.

Have it working with reset, believe we will keep the manual reset. It was already configured. My installation tab is greyed out so I cannot access the menus’ above. How do I place the robot in a state I can select “Installation”?
You can just see it in the pendent image above.
I stopped the robot and opened the program. Noticed Installation tab still grey.
Click Automatic in the right, upper corner and select Manual instead. 
Also, the safety settings are password protected, so you will have to get the password to change this.
It is not a generic password, but a password set by the person setting up the safety in the first place.
