UR5 teaching pendant shutting off while trying to boot up.
Went to start it up, the “Universal Robot” displayed on the pendent then it shut off completely. Have anyone run into this problem?. The led indicators from the “Safety Control Board” and Cables running to the Motherboard shut off as well. The ur5 have been in service for more than 5 years now.
Sounds like the BIOS has reset itself, or the motherboard is faulty. A new motherboard will very likely resolve the issue.
You can also search the forum for other similar issues. There have been quite a few. There’s a way to set up the BIOS again, if that’s the cause.
