I’m wondering if I’m missing something here. I am programming my 2016 UR10 to use a analog gripper. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell in the manual, there is no analog output option in the EOAT plug. Does this mean that I will have to run wiring all the way externally to my tool or am I missing a setting that allows me to convert the Tool-AI to a Tool-AO?

Your assumption is correct. But depending on your time constant on your input(and your need for resolution). You could make the digital outpu(s) act as PWM signal. The CB3 series have a time resolution on 8ms. Another option is to utilize the option to switch between 24V and 12V on the supply. But that will also affect your power supply.

I’ve never set up DO PWM for analog output purposes. Is there something in a UR manual that I can read about setting it up or is it something I’ll just have to play with until I get it?
