Tech talk: Computational design of passive grippers

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone that joined last week’s tech talk on protective stops. Your questions and engagement were great! Find the recording here: Tech talk: Understanding protective stops

We’ll host the next one already next week. Read more here: Tech talk: Computational design of passive grippers - Universal Robots

In this tech talk we will explore research that pushes the limits for what capabilities can be achieved by simple passive grippers with no actuators.

Our guest is Jeffrey Lipton. He is Assistant Professor at Northeastern University College of Engineering, Boston, Massachusetts. In collaboration with his colleages, he is proposing a tool that can generate 3D-printable grippers for rapid manufacturing.

I hope to see a lot of you!
