Shutting off a tool when a fault condition is met

first a description of what we are doing .
We are using a orbital sander on a Ur 10 E
and the sander is enabled and Disabled thru the Ur set function.
so currently if our system Has any type of fault the robot kicks out but the sander continues to run.
Can any one point me to a method that will disable the sander when the platform has a fault?
