Remote Mode not working

UR Robot was working through Remote Mode (Ethernet IP) on our shop floor and then we shipped the robot cell down to Mexico. Powered up the line and the robot powers up fine, but Remote Mode controls are not working anymore. In the PLC Ethernet Tree, the Robot is Running and no faults or issues. I can ping the robot from cmd prompt.

  1. I double checked the digital inputs selections were still mapped
  2. verified the Ethernet Adapter is Enabled
  3. disabled the ethernet adapter and re-booted, then re-enable the ethernet adapter
  4. checked the ethernet cable to the robot controller (even ran a new one)
  5. Safety configuration pulls up and is enabled
  6. compact disk is pushed in tightly

Looking for some other suggestions…

Fixed the issue. For anyone having an issue similar to this, it was the compact disk. I have had more issue with the compact disk being vertical then horizontal. It seems the compact disk locking mechanism doesn’t like the trip down to Mexico from Tn.

UR needs to do better because that locking mechanism could be designed better, to hold the compact disk in more securely.
