Hello,
where can I find information about “Offline Robot Programming” in the browser with Polyscope X?

A couple as of places
Pure GitHub, using code space:
The polyscopeX SDK documentation:
https://docs.universal-robots.com/PolyScopeX_SDK_Documentation/build/SDK-v0.14/index.html
In my own GitHub I have written a guide about how to use vscode instead of GitHub codespace (you will just have to drop the end about how to actually clone my repository into it)
Note: it’s not really an offline programming tool as you can not (at this point in time) important tools or CAD files to simulate the environment.
As the name suggests “SDK → Software Development Kit”, it’s really meant for developing software on, aka URCaps, and not truly as an offline simulation tool.
I understand, that i would be more the normal robot programming (not the SDK).
That’s on the website:
Offline Robot Programming
The technology stack of PolyScope X allows it to be used from any device with a browser.
In the same chapter they where also talking about import & export programs form / to robots.
Could you perhaps provide a link? But I am 80% sure that’s it actually is the SDK they are taking about.
Hi Again.
Thanks for the details.
At current time I don’t think there is anything but the SDK that allows you to run polyscope x in your local browser, as this one of the features of the SDK.
I do think its a bit misleading from UR to say that running PolyScope X in a browser equals “offline robot programming”. As true offline programming is more then just teach-pendant simulation.
But as PolyScope X isn’t fully developed yet, this might simply be a sign their ambitions with it, instead of its current capabilities.
