I’m facing some issues to boot a UR10e with Polyscope version 5.11. It suddenly stopped booting properly and every time I try it gets stuck at 100%. I haven’t updated Polyscope before to this issue, it was working fine with 5.11 some days ago.
I followed this thread to get some logs but I don’t know exactly what’s going on and how to solve it. Any idea on how can I make Polyscope boot again?
I don’t think there’s a lot to be done except for a new installation of PolyScope.
You can retrieve your programs and stuff by mounting the SD card on your computer. You also need to do this to install a new image.
If you’re not up for the task yourself, you should contact your local distributor and have them do it for you.
I have the same issue happening repeatedly every few weeks in a UR10e robot, and it also happened once to me with a UR5e. Reinstalling Polyscope fixes the issue. But it’s annoying to keep doing that as it’s stopping my production line. Any idea of why this keeps happening? Is there anything I could do to avoid this problem? Or at least, to reduce the chances it happens again?
I’m not using any URCap. I just operate the robot by installing Polyscope, copying a program.urp, and running it remotely using ssh. This issue has happened at least with Polyscope 5.11 and 5.15. I just reinstalled the newest 5.16, but I’m afraid that will not solve the issue since previous updates didn’t fix this.
You might want to contact a distributor and have them write to UR themselves. It sounds like something that should be looked at. And maybe they’ve heard of something.
