I would like to ask if it is possible to use one of the digital outputs on the UR10 to indicate a high-level signal when the robot enters an overload fault condition?
If so, could you provide guidance on how to configure this functionality and any relevant settings or considerations?
The CB-series never got the same functions as the newer e-series. It’s not possible to set an output high when a fault occurs.
You can however set an output high when the program is not running, but that means it will always be high when the program is either paused or stopped.
The only way to achieve what you’re asking for is with some external equipment such as a PLC. A Siemens PLC with ProfiNet to the UR has the feature of looking at the status of the robot and is fairly easy to set up.
