This might be a stupid question, but I just received my first 2 UR3 robots, and in the instructions there doesn’t seem to be anything regarding orientation of the base. Am I to assume that the cable exits the rear of the base like my Fanuc and Yaskawa robots?
Any info is appreciated…
Thanks, I just found that drawing in the manual, but if I was to mimic the planar directions of all my other robots, Y+ would be to the robot’s left, meaning the cable exits to the right side as I face the front of the robot, yes?
If your cable exits the right side, Y+ is the right side. If you are wanting Y+ to be going to the left side, you will want the cable exit side to be on the left side. Y+ = cable exit direction
Thanks nrivas, I was hoping that was the case, as I’d like them to be in agreement with my other robot brands as far as orientation goes. I mounted it with the assumption that it was the same, thank you for verifiiying.
