I’m looking at using a keyence vision system for locating and determining orientation of parts for a machine tending application. I’m curious if anyone here has used their vision systems with a universal robot before and if so what the integration is like?
I have integrated a Keyence CV-X Vision system with UR5 Robot Arm to perform automated inspection of production parts. Integration will require use of scripting to setup communications between camera controller and UR controller. I started with information/ script located on UR Support site. Not everything in the sample script was applicable to my set-up, so I just used the script code that I needed to get my communications setup.
actually, the keyence support site has the program and relatively plug and play. I have no idea what the other commenter was referring to. Keyence provides a skeleton program, you do the rest.
