I can select the “Static Address” as my network method, but I cannot change the IP address since the field is grayed out. I work with UR10e and PolyScope version 5.17.1 I have worked with other PolyScope versions before and there it usually worked. Does anybody know what can be done to edit the IP address? Is there some kind of mode or security permission needed?

I assume yours looks like the above, with the Network box unchecked.
If you type your admin password in and Unlock this page, you can check that box, then you will be able to adjust the Network settings on that page.
Thanks for the quick help. This fixed my problem.
Just to add on to this, I believe there is a bug right now in 17.1 where you can remove the protection via the checkbox mentioned before but when you leave the menu and go back to it via the hamburger menu, it will show up as disabled again even though it shows it unchecked. Not sure if anyone else has run into this bug as well.

Do you know how to get that “Permissions” option to show up on my UR5e? I only see General, Secure Shell, and Services. I have SW 5.17
I believe it just shows up in V5.17.1
