I made a program on Polyscope SW 5.17.1. When I do a save as all types, only .urp & .txt get saved on my USB. It used to save a .script. Occasionally I’ll get a .old but that won’t do for Visual Studio. Is there some way to convert .urp to .script without the teach pendant?
You should be able to Copy - Paste the .script file from the robot and onto your USB. Just show All Files, highlight the .script file, Copy and Paste to the USB.
Alternatively, you can install the offline simulator and open the program on your PC in a virtual PolyScope. There, you can execute it and the .script file will be generated.
We don’t have the simulator installed, but use WinSCP as an FTP server to be able to remotely manage files on the controller.
Easy to install and use. Can drag & drop, copy, paste, delete, move files around - within the program as well as between WinSCP and File Explorer.
There are other similar programs out there - this happens to be the one that our IT guy was familiar with when we started playing with these robots.
We also use TightVNC for remotely accessing the pendant - lets you program and/or run the robot (can be dangerous, of course) from a PC basically anywhere.
.script file will be saved together with the program only if program has no errors (yellow nodes).
