Hollow wrist motor

Summary

We would like to see a UR10-type robot with the final wrist motor to be a hollow motor type so we can attach an industrial welding torch to it.

What is it?

The 6th axis should be hollow so cabling can get through to feed the welding torch. The mounting holes / connection should be compatible with industry standard welding robots from the major brands.

Why is it needed?

Current solutions require a custom tool flange mount which, together with the required cabling, severely limit the possible robot motions and welding torch angles. This makes certain applications impossible or at the very least unnecessarily difficult to implement.
