Connecting Keyence SZ-04M Safety Scanner to UR10E

I have a UR10E cobot and I am wiring up a keyence SZ-04M area scanner. We are just using it to stop the robot when someone enters the zone and it will continue once they exit the zone. From the diagram from keyence they show the black signal wire going to I/O 0 and the white wire going to I/O 1. I am connecting to the dedicated safety inputs. I have disconnected the two jumpers and installed the black and white wires from the scanner to the I/Os. My question is there are two 24v connections on the controller under each I/O. I am trying to understand what goes there from my scanner so I can get it to respond correctly. Thanks.

Per the Keyence manual, you need to connect the brown wire to 24V and the blue wire to 0V. You will also need to configure the inputs to use OSSD. I can’t remember if the safeguard inputs can be configured for OSSD. If not, you would need to use a configurable input.

Update: I pulled up the manual and it appears all the safety inputs read OSSD signals out of the box. Only outputs have to be configured.
