Communication over USB with Daemon

Hi there,
I’d like to use a IO-Link - device with the UR-Robot. I choose an usb-IO-Link Adapter for the communication. Which methods can I use in an UR Cap for communicate with the device?
Can I use UR Script for the Communication?

You would probably need a daemon that access the USB resource (tty), and then use URScript or Java to communicate to this daemon.

How can I setup USB communication on UR CB3?
I’m testing setup communication between Siemens and UR via Modbus RTU.
