Column tracking when palletizing


I’m programming a robot with the palatizing template in PolyScope. What is the best way to incorporate a lifting column. I get a voltage as the height as feedback from the column. Maybe I should use conveyor tracking? If so, I understand that I need to use it as an absolute encoder maybe, but it is hard for me to figure out what to do from there.
