We have a used UR 10 with CB3 controller but the previous owners must have configured the inputs so we can only access automatic mode. How can we find out which inputs have been used to disable this set up and access all areas please ?
You should be able to access the IO tab still. In there you should be able to see two configurable inputs that are greyed out. As far as I remember, they’re called Mode.
if EFN solution doesn’t work, you could always re-image the usb (assuming it’s cb3.1)with a fresh copy of polyscope (preferably the same version it’s currently running) . this would essentially factory reset the robot.
Hi, thanks for the reply, but I have just checked and cannot access the I/O tab
once the robot boots up, this is the screen we get.
I can get into the set up robot tab but no I/O screen is showing
any other ideas you may have ?
Thanks for that, I have accessed the I/O tab in the Run screen, see enclosed.
The robot is in auto mode, if we can get it to manual mode we could disable the inputs that are stopping us getting into the programming screen.
we are not using any Configurable inputs/outputs, any ideas on which ones we need to bridge to open the programme tab pls ?
We have by passed everything and booting up like this
Connect 24V to both Mode-Select (CI4 and CI5). Then you should be able to access the Programming screen.
so… all this work but if you don’t have the safety password, you are going to run into more issues. if the bypass works, start by creating a new installation file and saving it as the default (if you don’t need anything that is currently in the installation).
Thank you to all who have contributed, we have linked 24v to CI4 and CI5 and opened up the programming Tab and we do have the Safety Password to make changes.
We have created a “new installation” file and saved to the USB . However if we remove the links to CI4 and CI5 the system boots up without the option to use the “new installation” so we have to put the links back. Can we make the “new installation” the default installation so we can remove the links and it boots to this one every time ?
The system will always open Default.installation first.
You should be fine if you edit this one and use it. Alternatively, make a new one and override it.
