Wiring timing trigger output

I have a UR5e with a Keyence Laser Micrometer (LS-9120) and I am trying to wire a timing input for the controller so the robot can trigger when to take the measurement but I can’t seem to get the robot to trigger.

attached is the wiring diagram/instructions I received from Keyence:

  1. COM(+) from the robot → 24v from the power supply.
  2. 0v from the power supply → COM_IN on the LS controller
  3. TIM1 on the LS controller → OUT from the robot

and this is how I currently have it wired:

I have also tried wiring the COMMON(+) to the 0v above DO0 but have not been successful either.
Where is COMMON(+) on the robots controller?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What external device are you using for this then? It looks like the PLC(PNP) output is a separate device but sounds like it would be the robot in you case. If it is like that; i believe you would just connect DO1 to Voltage IN and 0V to COM IN

Digital outputs output 24V and you have the com tied to 24V as well so the robot can’t make the signal. One thing we’ve had to do in the past is is wire the output to the common and 0V to the input when it wanted a positive common. Then you’re switching the common but it has worked on various devices.
