UR5 Cobot 2013 C50A101 Error

Currently experianceing a C50A101 Error on our arm. According to the manuel its a short circuit on the safety board or arm but we cant find where it could be or what we are looking for. We checked all joint for a short circuit or any sign of a short but we dident find anything.

We also measured everything on the board for a short but it according to what we’ve seen it all looks normal.

Were not really sure what else to look for or what to measure to narrow down our issue

Fixed our issue.

Problem was a borken cable between joint 3 and 4
We found the problem by opening the joing and one after the other checking what error we receive on the robot. It will say missing joint x if there is no issue with the joints up until the one it can get to. Once the broken one is reconnected it will throw C50A101 Short circuit again.

Work from the joint closest to the safety board up the chain to the one furthest away
