Need Help with UR Robot Issue - Communication Error and Initialization Problem (Issue C4A90)

Hello everyone,

I am seeking urgent help with a recurring issue on our UR CB3 robot. Here are the details:

Robot Model and Software Versions Tried:

  • Robot Model: CB3.
  • Software Versions: Tried updating from 3.11 through to 3.15.8.

Issues Faced:

  1. Safety Confirmation Alert: Upon starting, the robot displays a “The Robot cannot proceed with normal operation: Confirming safety” message.
  2. Initialization Problem: In the ‘Initializing’ page, when I press ‘On’, I hear a noise from Joint 4, as if it’s trying to rotate, but the ‘Power On’ remains yellow, not turning green. The ‘Start’ button stays inactive, preventing any operation.
  3. Temporary Fix: Yesterday, after hitting the robot a few times and rebooting, it surprisingly started working, but this is obviously not a viable long-term solution.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice on these issues. Has anyone experienced similar problems or have suggestions on how to resolve them?
