I have the same issue. Did you, or somebody else found the solution? Currently as I don’t want to start the simulator as root, I start the daemon manually in one Terminal and then runs the simulator.

I have found the exact same thing in the standard Ubuntu based Starter package… we’ll look into it and come back with a fix as soon as possible.

Seems not fixed in either ursim-3.7.0.40195 or ursim-5.1.0.40195.

Has there been any progress repairing this functionality? The XMLRPC daemon is a critical part of our URCap.

Honestly, this is just a bit annoying while developing on the simulator. It works fine on real robot.
