I am controlling an UR10/UR10e via Ethernet using the External Control ROS package. Now I want to additionally control an external tool using the Modbus Ethernet interface. Since my robot only has one Ethernet slot for “Internet & Modbus” I don’t know how to connect those.
Is it possible to use a normal Ethernet switch, in which i would plug in all three cables (Robot, Computer for ROS Control, External Tool), or do I have to take another approach?

We have always used an ehternet switch when we have multiple ethernet devices connected to a robot, so you should be fine using one of those.
