Tool flange play - ur5e

hello. we have a onrobot camera, quick changer, and rg6 attached to a UR5e. Someone uploaded a poorly designed program and the robot folded in and hit the camera. It functions fine and all the items plus robot function fine. While working yesterday I noticed the camera has about a 1 inch play left or right if moved by hand. I do not know if this was like this when installed but I am fearing that is not the case. Can anyone tell me if the flange has some play in it (not loose, but it is there) to compensate for collisions? I am worrying that if I take it apart to see I will make a problem worse at a time I cannot afford to.

If the robot is turned off, the mechanical brakes will be engaged. These brakes have a bit of move. It should be like this in all the joints.

If you can move it without any force at all when it’s turned on, then there seems to be an issue. You can verify if you’re simply moving the joint forcefully, or something is loose, by checking the Move tab and see the corresponding joint position in real time.
If this is the case, then you should contact your local distributor - or take it apart yourself, if you’re up for the job.
