Read_input_integer_register and read_port_register difference

Hello,
I’m a bit confused regarding using the commands read_input_integer_register and read_port_register.
I suppose the integer registers are not available on Modbus, and the port registers are only available on Modbus, and there is absolutely no overlapping between these two types of registers? At least I don’t find a document where both of these functions are described and/or compared.

Hi @csaba,

You are correct. The read_port_register is the Modbus server register described here and read_input_register can be used to exchange data/synchronize with a FieldBus/PLC or a RTDE Client.
