Sorry, by screen protector, I meant a plastic protective film that protects the display from dirt.
It's not a transport protector!
I’d suggest checking with your UR distributor that you bought the pendant through, to see what they can do for you.
I’ve had to replace a couple pendants - UR I believe still offers an exchange if the damage isn’t too severe - I think it was $1500 vs the $2500 for a new pendant last time I checked.
They also sell the glass screen protectors - work just like the ones for cell phones and tablets.
One of the resellers we’ve purchased our UR5e’s from installs screen protectors and pendant armor on the units before delivery, but not all of them do so.
The Pendant Armor rubber protectors work very well to protect the rest of the pendant, though we have one location where they are handled with oily hands (rust preventive oil on our parts), which caused the rubber to swell so much the protectors would just fall off the pendant.
Here’s a source for both items for the e-series pendants - I think the UR-20’s may come with a different shape pendant, however.
So, its not a glass screen protector then.
The pendant still works but I don’t know for how long and I cant be without one to run the line.
Is there a way to get a temporary unit in so I can send mine out to get fixed ?
