Check connected Digital Output

Hi guys!

This might seem a silly question, and if it is, I apologize for wasting your time.
I would like to know if there is any way to detect in code(any program or installation node/daemon/script) if any of the digital outputs are connected?
Is there any way, by calling a function or sending a message which would result in which digital outputs are connected?

So you want to know if they are connected to a device, not if they are currently on correct? If so, I do not know of any way to know if an output is connected to something unless it has a monitoring circuit that can then be hooked up to an input to monitor.
