# Safety Fault: C26A18 Communication

Is anyone familiar with this fault error and know a solution? I have done a complete rebooting sequence and that did not solve anything. This is occuring on a UR 5 e series. The fault message is,

"Robot Interface: C26A18 communication: Failed to communicate with TOOL. Explanation: Tool failed to start communicating as expected. "

I don’t think there’s much to do except for replacing the tool mounting bracket.

You should contact your local distributor to have them confirm this and arrange for replacing. 🙂
