# Robotiq-Gripper Flange connection Male -\> Male?

Hello,

we have bought a AGC-ES-UR-KIT-85 (2F-85 Gripper) and we want to connect it to the UR-Robot.

The couplings-cable is a male-cable. And the Plug on the UR10e wrist connector also is a male cable.

So I can’t connect a male cable to a male cable. I read that Ur changed the connector type from male to female on the new robots ?

Did we buy the wrong kit ? Is there a kit for older and newer UR- robots ?

What would you do now ? Adding an extra cable wouldn’t look nice I think as the cable already has the optimum length.

I’m not actually sure how OnRobot has solved this, but they should definitely still be selling the old cable (female - male).

So I believe you got your hands on the wrong kit, but OnRobot or your reseller can definitely help you with that.
