# Summary

Modify Variables while a program is running

# What is it?

The ability to modify an existing variable whilst a program is running

# Why is it needed?

When testing it is frustrating having to stop programs to adjust / modify variables and then having to re run the whole program again.  
Also when running making minor adjustments on the fly so as not to stop production.

Some type of “background edit” would be nice. Most of our CNC machining centers have this ability. You make a change while the machine is running then the next time it cycles it reads the new change.
