# Keyence EDS File

Hello, I am trying to communicate between Keyence CV-470 and UR3E. Keyence sent me an EDS file, how can I upload it to UR3E?

Hi Kenan.

I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure an eds file is a PLC thing not a robot thing, so I think they are expecting you to have a PLC as a middle man between the robot and Keyence.

cg1 Is correct,  
The UR can only be Ethernet IP Salve and not Master.  
The Keyence is also only Ethernet IP Salve  
so a PLC Would be required to comunicate between them both
