Hi All,

I’m trying to connect a force sensor to the UR16e control box and I want to get the force during the working process. But I don’t know how to do it. I’m using the URX to control the UR16e.
Is there any function I can use to get the force data?

Sorry, I studied the UR16e several days aso.

Hi,

have you already taken a look at the [URScript Manual](https://www.universal-robots.com/download/manuals-e-series/script/script-manual-e-series-sw-59/)? (This is the current version at the moment. Please make sure to use the latest/fitting manual version)

The function _force()_ and _get\_tcp\_force()_ provide you with the current force data of the robot during a running program.

Alternatively you can use the different interfaces available on the robot for accessing the robot force data:

- [Client Interfaces](https://www.universal-robots.com/articles/ur/interface-communication/remote-control-via-tcpip/) on Port 30001/2/3
- [RTDE Interface](https://www.universal-robots.com/articles/ur/interface-communication/real-time-data-exchange-rtde-guide/) on Port 30004

Hi,

Thank you!

Yes.

Right now, I think I know how to get it.

Best,

Hi,

Although quite some time have passed but can you guide me about getting the real time force data from UR16e? I am also new to the process and I am planning to work on sheet forming of very thin aluminum using this robot.
So I need to see the forming forces real time.

Your help and guidance will be appreciated.
